There are a lot of intelligent people out there, who are wicked smart and many of them wish to make money for thinking. Many of these people may not have ever actually created anything significant, built a business, revolutionized an industry, or come up with the best innovation since sliced bread. Still, they feel their idea job is getting paid to think, well, who could blame them? I certainly don't.
So you wish to be a Thought Leader do you? Well, some might say that this is a buzz word that is completely over used. Sure enough, yes, but The TED Conferences sure make good use of it, and people are taking notice, so it works. Well that is the upper end of the "thought leader" chain, and they've done a pretty good job promoting themselves. I do also believe that "buzz word" is overworked.
Thus, if you really wish to become a thought leader, then why not use thinking skills and your "naming" skills and come up with a new word? Why not get a head start and let everyone else chase you! Create a new title for yourself and a new "buzz word" you'll catch everyone off guard, disrupt them, and flash memory drive your way into their layers of neural networks.

You know like a "rain maker, thought leader, concept creator, branding guru, global thinker" hybrid, something catchy quick, unique and memorable, with a trendy social networking flair. If you really want to receive money for your genius status, then you are going to need to do a little more thinking to market yourself, so please think on this.
